 ACTIVE CLASSES   

 

 

 New Beginner Yoga Series / level 1   

This is the best place to start your practice. Learn the principles of alignment and explore the breath through a series of basic yoga poses. This series will help students increase body awareness, strength and flexibility; improve focus and concentration; and relax and calm the mind.

 

 Hatha: Beginner-Continuing / levels 1-2   

Appropriate for students new to yoga and those who are continuing to refine the foundations. This full spectrum class explores basic poses to develop and refine body awareness, alignment, and breathing techniques.

 

 Hatha: Continuing / level 2   

This is a strong basic class designed for students who have explored the foundations of breath and alignment and are working to refine their practice.

 

 Hatha: Continuing - Intermediate / levels 2-3   

This class is for students to expand their practice through a greater variety of poses while refining alignment principles and increasing strength and stamina. Modifications and variations will be given to support and challenge all participants.

 

 Vinyasa: Continuing / level 2   

A moderately paced, flowing vinyasa class. This is the next progression for those with a Hatha background who desire to explore the elements of flow or 'vinyasa'. This is a strong basic class.

 

 Vinyasa: Continuing - Intermediate / levels 2-3   

This is an invigorating full-flowing class that builds on the standard poses to include some intermediate poses and linking variations. This class is appropriate for students who have vinyasa experience and are seeking a more physically active and challenging class.

 

 Vinyasa: Intermediate - Advanced / level 3   

The focus of this class is on applying the alignment principles to explore more intermediate-advanced poses. Includes a variety of arm balances, inversions and back bending variations. Experienced yoga students only please.

 

 Yoga Dance / ALL welcome!   

This soul-stirring class includes yoga, dance, and music. This chakra-based dance explosion will shake you to your core, awaken your creative energies, and raise your vibration.

 

 Mat Pilates Fundamentals / Beginners   

Learn the essential mat exercise of the Fletcher style pilates designed to lengthen and strengthen the entire body from the center creating greater ease and control of movement.

 

 Mat Pilates 1   

Progresses from the fundamental series into the basic mat exercise. Appropriate for those who have completed the fundamentals or those restating their practice.

 

 Mat Pilates 2   

For the intermediate students looking for a greater challenge. The Fletcher Method Fundamentals are required for this class.

 

 GENTLE YOGA CLASSES   

 

 

 Gentle Hatha: All levels   

A softer approach that invites you to consciously immerse yourself into the poses while refining body awareness, breath, and alignment. Includes more seated postures. Appropriate for all levels. New students welcome!

 

 Restorative Yoga: ALL   

Restorative yoga allows the body to gently stretch and open within a pose by using props such as bolsters and blankets for support allowing for deep and therapeutic relaxation. Restorative poses refresh, renew, and nurture the body and mind. This peaceful, recuperative class is appropriate for students of all skill levels and those recovering from illness or injury.

 

 Silver-Age Yoga: ALL   

A very gentle class designed to meet the unique needs of the aging bodies using chairs and other props. The poses in this class will help increase joint mobility; improve balance and stability; and release tension and stress.

 

 SPECIALTY CLASSES   

 

 

 Meditation   

No matter who you are or what you do, everyone has the innate ability to meditate. All that is required is a curiosity to know oneself on a deeper level and to gain greater peace and clarity.

The fundamental class is offered in a series to help you acquire basic techniques for preparing the body and mind, to help you understand the nature of the stilling the mind and how to deal with all that arises in the practice.

The Monday evening continuing practice is an opportunity to further support and enhance your experience in a guided environment.

The Sunday am class is a silent practice with some breathing and mantra practices.

 

 Prenatal Yoga   

Open to all women in any stage of pregnancy. This class will help you prepare the body for the demands of labor and new motherhood, equip you with breathing techniques, and release tension and reduce stress. No prior experience is required.

 

 Yoga Kids Series   

Age-appropriate classes to allow kids of all ages to explore the many benefits of yoga and enhance their creative energies in a non-competitive environment. Series classes are offered seasonally. Fall dates to be posted soon.
